The Buzz
Have you ever wondered why your baby or toddler doesn't sleep through the night?
Have you thought about his or her bed and what bedding you use? Do you just have them in a sleep sack? Do you care about what you have under the crib sheet / on top of the mattress?
Here I have given you a few things to think about in regards to your child's bed and what you put on them. I am a big believer of ensuring that your child is warm and cosy ALL night long in their bed. Here are some of my tips in making your child's bed the coziest it could be:
1. put a wool blanket or sheepskin under the crib/cot sheet. Just like we would have under ours. I know most adults will have their wool underlay or blanket - why would you not have one under your child's.
2. If putting your child to sleep in a sleep sack - particularly in the cooler months, ensure their bed is made up with a top sheet and blanket. A wool blanket! They need to be tucked in and feel secure! ... and warm! Don't just rely on the sleep sack for warm and security. It has its purpose, I don't disagree with that. But please cover them - from the neck down to their toes for total comfort and love. Just how we like to go to bed - why should your child's experience be any less!

- Merino Wool is truely wonderful for controlling baby's temperature. If the room is a nice comfortable temperature, your baby will enjoy a comfortable temperature. Merino will not allow baby to get cold or overheat.
- Wool can absorb up to 40% of its weight in moisture without feeling damp. In humid conditions, wool can even absorb moisture from the air. So you can be sure your baby is warm and dry.
- Buying wool means less plastic needs to be manufactured to create polyester fleece; the sheep's sythetic competitor. Unlike wool, feece does not allow our skin to breath hence the clammy feeling of synthetic fabrics.
- Merino Wool is naturally elastic so it can stretch and give without breaking fibres. It will stand the stresses of normal wear and tear. Your Snuggly blanket will maintain its original shape with proper care.
